During its full board meeting Sept. 10, the University of Alaska Board of Regents agreed to maintain men’s and women’s nordic (cross-country skiing) programs based on a revised recommendation from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Chancellor Cathy Sandeen. The regents approved the elimination of men’s hockey, women’s gymnastics, and men’s and women’s downhill (Alpine) skiing at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ with the caveat that the board will consider reestablishing the teams if supporters raise enough private money by February 2021.

Kim Mahoney, associate vice chancellor of Facilities and Campus Services, and her team are busy this fall transitioning all of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ’s Anchorage campus buildings to a new online access control system that will allow students, faculty and staff to access buildings with a swipe of their WOLFcard.

The Nursing Resource Center (NRC) skills labs are supervised by the NRC Coordinator and operate with the assistance of a Skills Lab Assistant and student workers.
