We are celebrating 49 Hours for the 49th State during UA Giving Day 2020! This campaign is a collaboration between the UA Foundation and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ, UAF and UAS. UA Giving Day will run for 49 hours starting at noon Oct. 20 and ending at 1 p.m. Oct. 22.

Kenai Peninsula College invites applications for its KRC Student Success and Resource Advisor position, which serves as the primary point of contact for all KRC students taking developmental math and writing courses. Additionally, this position will support the learning and engagement of Rural and Alaska Native Students. This level 78, fulltime, 12-month position begins Nov/Dec. at $23.84 hourly.

Gear can be picked up on Thursdays from 9am - 4pm and returned on Mondays from 9am - 4pm. Building Hours - The Student Union remains open for the Fall 2020 semester. Building hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. All study spaces are designed to meet social distancing regulations and cleaning supplies are available in each room to wipe-in and wipe-out. Students and faculty/staff will need to use a Wolfcard to enter the building from the South Parking Lot (nearest Enrollment Services Center / old Bookstore).

As the global COVID-19 pandemic continues, getting a flu vaccine this season is more important than ever. Although flu vaccines will not prevent COVID-19, they will reduce the burden of respiratory illnesses. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ's Student Health and Conuseling Center will host several flu shot clinics for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ students and employees in October. Keep reading for the full schedule.

This position will serve as program support including maintaining assorted databases and files, faculty/administrative support and assisting in scheduling and administration of professional development and contract training efforts, and student support and the first point of contact for students. This position will serve as an administrative assistant to the Director, will be responsible for the management of the School of Nursing administrative office, and will foster and maintain positive working relationships with faculty and staff. This faculty workshop focuses on understanding students’ financial predicament and its impact on their academic success. In this workshop, the Open Education Network (formerly Open Textbook Network) will introduce faculty to open textbooks and the benefits they can bring to student learning and faculty pedagogical practice. The workshop will highlight one OER repository: the Open Textbook Library (OTL). Faculty are invited to engage with open textbooks by writing a brief review of a textbook in the OTL following the workshop. To be awarded $200 by the Consortium Library, participants must: Register and complete the 1-hr asynchronous training before 12p AKST October 16, 2020 Attend and participate in a 1-hr interactive workshop on October 16, 2020 (12p-1p AKST) Submit an open textbook review by January 8, 2021 See detailed registration and workshop instructions, including how to register, access the asynchronous training, join the interactive session, and complete the textbook review, at the Textbook Affordability website!
