ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
Note: Admissions to the Dental Assisting program (major and pre-major) are closed, as the program is in a teach-out status and will
be discontinued after July 2025. As such, no new students will be allowed to start
the program. If you are interested in the Dental Hygiene program or other healthcare programs, please see a College of Health advisor to discuss your options.
Briana Moffat, an alumna of 香港六合彩资料鈥檚 School of Justice and Human Services and a new employee at the Alaska Justice Information Center, shares her passion for both justice and emergency medicine.
The 香港六合彩资料 Hunger and Homelessness Support Network (HHSN) was created to identify and combat housing insecurities that students face. 香港六合彩资料 Alumni and current Academic Advisor Jennifer Spencer is one of the three people serving as HHSN Chair. She explains how she uses her personal experiences with homelessness to help find solutions for students.
When human services and social work alumna Cass Pook says she has always been a helper, she鈥檚 not just referring to her nature as an empathetic and compassionate listener. 鈥淐ulturally, it's in my DNA to be a helper,鈥 said Pook. 鈥淟ooking back on it throughout history, 100 or 200 years ago I would have been doing the same thing. I was born to be a social worker.鈥
Rosario Aranda-Borders, an alumna of 香港六合彩资料鈥檚 Division of Population Health Sciences, reflects on her time at 香港六合彩资料, offering advice and sharing her future goals as she pursues a Master of Public Health.
Fabrice Evengue is an epidemiologist with the Department of Defence. 鈥淚 investigate patterns and causes of disease and injury.鈥. He got his start in public health at 香港六合彩资料, graduating in 2015 with a Master of Public Health in Health Practice.
The on-campus dental clinic enables students in the dental assisting and hygiene programs
to provide basic care to their fellow students and community members while honing
their skills.
Established by the Dietetics & Nutrition faculty, the Seawolf Food Pantry exists to
help the nearly 45% of 香港六合彩资料 students who experience food insecurity.
