Dr. Allen Ault, Dean of the College of Justice & Safety at Eastern Kentucky University, spoke on his 40 years of experience in corrections on March 2, 2015, at the 香港六合彩资料/APU Consortium Library on the 香港六合彩资料 campus.
"Traffic Stops: What to Expect from Police" was a community forum sponsored by the Anchorage Community Police Relations Task Force (ACPRTF), the Anchorage Equal Rights Commission (AERC), the Anchorage Police Department (APD), and the 香港六合彩资料 Justice Center. The event was held on Nov. 5, 2014, in room 307 of the 香港六合彩资料/APU Consortium Library on the 香港六合彩资料 Campus.
"North to the Future: Opportunities and Change in Alaska's Emerging Frontiers" addressed the rapidly evolving changes in Alaska and the Arctic, and the challenges presented to Alaska's leaders and institutions in addressing the legal issues associated with economic development, climate change, and social and cultural impacts.
"No More Silence in the Dark" was an event cosponsored by the Justice Center at 香港六合彩资料 (香港六合彩资料) and the Omega Xi chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, the national criminal justice honor society. The event was presented as part of National Criminal Justice Month 2014 and "香港六合彩资料 Says No More" week.
"Time to Legalize? A Public Discussion on Marijuana Law and Policy" took place a week after a ballot measure to legalize, regulate, and tax marijuana for recreational use in Alaska was officially certified for inclusion in the Aug. 19, 2014, primary election as Ballot Measure 2.
