Campus Kickoff 2023 Overview

Campus Kickoff welcomes all Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ students, staff and faculty to celebrate the beginning of the academic year. It’s an excellent opportunity for everyone across the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ campus to connect with their community. Throughout the past 20 years, Campus Kickoff has grown into one of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ's most beloved campus traditions. To celebrate the 20th anniversary, we are excited to host a full day of festivities on Saturday, August 26 from 1 - 10 p.m.
Festival
We’ll begin with a festival in the Student Union (South) Parking Lot from 1-4 p.m. All are welcome! Enjoy food trucks (free for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ students with a Wolfcard), live music, fun activities, 100+ Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ and community partner booths, and so much more!
After Party
The fun continues in the Student Union, Avis Alaska Sports Complex, Rasmuson Hall, and the Alaska Airlines Center from 4 - 10 p.m. with fun creative activities, games, a movie, and a concert to culminate the event! Get excited to join us for #CKO23, and see the schedule for more details!
Schedule
1 p.m. - CKO 23’ Festival - Student Union Parking Lot
- Check In - To get a free CKO 23’ t-shirt, swing by the welcome table.
- Food Trucks - Choose between 3 food trucks: Jeepney, Serranos, and Red Umbrella Reindeer.
Additionally, Kaladi Brothers Coffee will be giving out free beverages to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ students,
staff and faculty. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ students get a FREE meal from a food truck of their choice.
Before getting in a food truck line, go to the Food Ticket booth for your free meal
ticket.
- Booths - Connect with student-led organizations, support services offered by staff
and faculty, and learn about resources around our greater community. As you make your
way from table to table, make a note to stop by the First Year Experience booth to
be part of their CKO 23’ scavenger hunt.
- Live Music - Throughout the festival, we will have three DJs live on stage.
- 1-2 p.m. - DJ Joe Brady
- 2:15 - 3 p.m. - Nick Anthony
- 3:15 - 4 p.m. - Casey Smith
- Low Sensory Space - If you need a break from the excitement and sound of the outdoor
festival, venture into the Enrollment Services Building for a relaxing atmosphere
and chill networking space.
4 p.m. - CKO 23’ After Party

- Open Gym with Recreation Sports & Student Activities
- Skate with the Seawolves featuring the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Hockey Team

- Rock Painting with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Grounds and Horticulture (Hugh McPeck Gallery)
- Board Games (Second Floor Lounge)
- Open Gaming (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Esports Lounge)
- NEW Dining Option Seawolf Marketplace will be open and serving food (1st floor, next
to the Cafeteria)

- Free for all Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ students, staff and faculty with Wolfcard. For new students, Wolfcards can be attained at the Wolfcard Office (Eugene Short Hall 102) from 1 - 4 p.m.
