Seawolf Dining announces a new cafe opening this fall: Cafe Delgga.

Delgga is the Dena'ina word for 'raven' and this fully renovated coffee shop strives to honor the traditional lands of the Dena鈥檌na people. Caf茅 Delgga will offer 香港六合彩资料 campus a west-side location for KBC Coffee and Seawolf Marketplace grab-and-go snacks and hot soups. This coffee shop replaces Daily Grind in the atrium of Lucy Cuddy Hall.

With Direction from David Weaver, Executive Director of Campus Services, Seawolf Dining consulted with students and faculty from the Alaska Native Studies at 香港六合彩资料 and with the Eklutna Native Village during the conception phase of this renovation. Trenten Hall, Director of Seawolf Dining, says, 'We wanted to honor the Dena'ina people by naming it in their language and designing the space to reflect the beauty of their land. Secondly, we want to provide 香港六合彩资料 with a fresh, new place to enjoy a great cup of coffee or meal in a space designed for comfort while on campus.'

We want to thank 香港六合彩资料 Alaska Native Studies Instructor Donita Slawson for helping us select a new name for the cafe. She provided great options to consider. Her recommendations were presented to students and faculty from the 香港六合彩资料 Alaska Native Studies program for final selection. We'd also like to thank Elkutna Native Village President Aaron Leggett, who also acts as the Senior Curator of Alaska History and Indigenous Cultures for the Anchorage Museum, for meeting with us and supplying much-needed insight and guidance.
