Alaska NSF EPSCoR will sponsor four early-career University of Alaska faculty to attend a 鈥淟eadership Skills for Engineering and Science Faculty鈥� workshop put on by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Participants in the two-day, in-person course will take part in a series of interactive
role-playing activities, self-assessment instruments, and group discussions, enabling
them to develop a repertoire of techniques for addressing issues that commonly arise
within engineering research groups and teaching staff. Participants will acquire proven
leadership strategies and techniques aimed at boosting effectiveness and productivity
of research teams.
The workshop will take place July 10-11, 2023 on the MIT campus in Cambridge, Mass.;
