University of Alaska launches largest fundraising campaign in state history

$200 million comprehensive campaign will support investment in students, workforce, economic development and research
The University of Alaska system has launched the public phase of For Alaska, a multi-year fundraising campaign with the goal of raising $200 million by 2024. To date, more than $135 million has been raised from more than 16,000 donors since the quiet phase of the campaign began in 2016.
鈥溝愀哿喜首柿� and the UA system are uniquely positioned to help write the next chapter in Alaska鈥檚 history through contributions in research, innovation and economic development,鈥� said Bobi Rinehart, associate vice chancellor for development. 鈥淭he impact of our graduates in every corner of Alaska and every imaginable sector is awe-inspiring. Through this campaign, and through the power of generosity, we celebrate the enduring contributions of the UA community to serve all Alaskans.鈥�
Four themes 鈥� education, workforce, research and economy 鈥� are common to the overarching statewide campaign. 香港六合彩资料 is also prioritizing support for its student-athletes by adding a fifth campaign priority.

- by leading research relevant to Alaska and the Arctic region
- by expanding Alaska鈥檚 knowledge base

UA showcased the university system鈥檚 priorities and campaign progress with a virtual launch celebration on March 25, hosted by Diane Kaplan, president and CEO of the Anchorage-based Rasmuson Foundation. The event featured an anthem video illustrating the pivotal role of higher education in shaping Alaska鈥檚 future, narrated by Willie Hensley, visiting distinguished professor of public policy at 香港六合彩资料.
