Chancellor response to Gov. Dunleavy message on COVID-19

Dear 香港六合彩资料 Community,
As many of you already know, Gov. Dunleavy triggered the emergency notification system and issued .
What does this mean for onsite operations? For the moment, little changes as many of our current safety measures already align with the new declaration. These include online delivery for most classes, remote work for employees, as well as the use of masks and face coverings in university facilities and social distancing requirements for the limited in-person campus operations and face-to-face classes that remain.
Any updates or changes to our operational plans will be released once we are certain how the governor鈥檚 directive more specifically impacts the university. Although the number of employees working on campus is limited, we encourage supervisors and employees to work together to further reduce that time with remote work whenever possible.
The fact that the governor sent this message to all Alaskans reinforces how serious this pandemic is to our communities. It is imperative that we all do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19. That means continuing to:
- Avoid gatherings with people outside your household.
- Limit trips to public places like stores or restaurants. Choose curbside pickup instead.
- Stay home whenever possible.
- Always wear your mask when you leave your home.
- Wash your hands.
- Stay 6 feet away from others.
- Stay home if you are sick, get tested, tell your close contacts and report to the university.
I know these precautions can seem especially difficult with upon us. I share the governor鈥檚 hope that a vaccine will be available soon.
