For this year's National Criminal Justice Month presentation, Allen Ault, Ph.D., discussed the "War on Drugs" and the rapid rise in incarceration rates in the U.S., the disproportionate number of minority individuals who are incarcerated, the shift in corrections as rehabilitative to punitive, the rising number of inmates with mental health concerns and the issue of capital punishment.

Professor Blumenstein presents paper co-authored with Professor Rivera at Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences conference 香港六合彩资料 professors Lindsey Blumenstein, Ph.D., and Mary Rivera, Ph.D., recently co-authored "Intimate Partner Violence and Negative Health Outcomes Using the Alaska Victimization Survey." Blumenstein presented this paper at the March 2015 Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences annual conference.

The study attempts to assess the impact of several different types of abuse, including psychological aggression, coercive control and entrapment, and physical and sexual violence on physical and mental health outcomes. The data for the study relies on the Alaska Victimization Survey.

This paper relates to the research Reinhard has been doing with Troy Payne, Justice faculty, in collaboration with the Anchorage Police Department and the Anchorage Downtown Partnership.

The paper reports on criminal and delinquent behavior as observed in Town Square Park, a downtown urban park in Anchorage.
