Professor Landry Sign茅 recognized by Quebec government with Claude Masson award

Political Science Professor Landry Sign茅 has been bestowed the Claude Masson Award (Hommage b茅n茅volat-Qu茅bec Award), the most prestigious award given by the Quebec government, to highlight the exceptional quality of his national and international engagements and contributions.

Quebec Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity Agn猫s Maltais, who is responsible for community action and volunteering, said to Sign茅 (in a correspondence received on February 3, 2014): "I am honored today to have the opportunity to recognize your important contribution to the collectivity, to our society. Your altruism makes the difference and I would like to thank you."

The Hommage b茅n茅volat-Qu茅bec Award recognizes citizens who "commit their time, energy and skills to an organization or the people of their community in order to achieve collective or personal goals. Their commitment is altruistic and voluntary." Sign茅 will receive "a magnificent Tara statuette and a calligraphed, honorary certificate signed by the premier and the minister."
