Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ will remain in Phase B of the university system’s COVID-19 response plan for the fall 2020 semester. By their very nature, universities are places where people gather in person -- to learn, study, work and socialize. The constant flow of people in and out of campus poses an elevated risk of spreading COVID-19, creating an uncertain environment for fall.

For the past eight months, folks over at the Student Union have been working tirelessly to convert their online reservation system to 25Live! The Student Union has been using EMS (Event Management Systems) to manage room reservations for the past six years. The new reservation system in 25Live will be active and open for use starting in the fall 2020 semester.

University of Alaska Acting President Michelle Rizk has appointed Dr. Karen Carey to serve as interim chancellor for the University of Alaska Southeast (UAS). Dr. Carey will begin July 1, succeeding outgoing UAS Chancellor Rick Caulfield.

Jane Pallister announces retirement from athletic department

After over twenty-five years of service to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ in many capacities, most recently in athletics, Jane Pallister will retire June 30. Athletics will be hosting a "Drive-By Bye" so you can wish Jane well and still practice social distancing. The event is planned for June 29 from 5–6 p.m. in the drop-off lane in front of the Alaska Airlines Center. Stay tuned for more details!
