Play The Reverse Murder Mystery Game — where everyone is an assassin, and the goal is to figure out the target to win the $100 inheritance! Staff, faculty and students give facts about themselves, which will appear publicly under their bio. One fact — however — will only be given to their assassin. Everyday at noon and 5 p.m., assassins email the Game Master to let him know who they think their target is. If the assassin is right, their target is out of the game and the assassin receives their target’s target. If they’re wrong, they’ll have to try again at the next check-in. The game ends when there are only two players left...

Oct. 16 Core Competency Forum: Workshop on Personal, Professional and Community Responsibility at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ

In Spring 2020, the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ community selected four institution-wide core student learning competencies. This year, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ is highlighting the competency of Personal, Professional, and Community Responsibility. Because it is an institution-wide competency, we need to think about how this kind of student learning occurs in both traditional classroom settings and more broadly in student activity and service settings.

UA Foundation names Dr. Tod A. Burnett as president

The University of Alaska Foundation Board of Directors has named Dr. Tod A. Burnett as president of the University of Alaska Foundation and chief development officer of the University of Alaska. Dr. Burnett, was previously the executive vice chancellor for advancement at Brandman University, Irvine, CA, has extensive experience in higher education philanthropy and non-profit leadership. Dr. Burnett succeeds Susan Foley who retired in August and will begin his presidency on November 8, 2020.
