Announcing Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Interim Chancellor finalists and Town Halls

UA Interim President Pat Pitney announced two finalists for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ interim chancellor: Christi Bell, Associate Vice Chancellor and Executive Director Business Enterprise Institute (BEI). Christi leads the university’s economic development programs and is responsible for managing the institute’s personnel and budgets; and Bruce Schultz, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Bruce leads Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ’s student affairs administrative unit devoted to student and campus services, and manages all aspects of the student experience at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ. All Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ community members are invited to attend town hall meetings on Thursday, Dec. 3 to meet and engage with Christi (4–5 p.m.) and Bruce (noon–1 p.m.).

Update on Anchorage Emergency Order EO-16

Last Wednesday, Nov. 25, Acting Mayor Quinn-Davidson announced Emergency Order EO-16, which goes into effect tomorrow, Dec. 1, and continues through the end of December. The new emergency order stresses the necessity to limit outings and physical contact with those outside our households but also places specific restrictions on certain businesses and activities, mainly those that occur indoors and cannot accommodate face coverings and strict social distancing.
