Black history in Alaska is not widely known and dates back more than a century. Black men and women have played a significant role in shaping our state鈥檚 history. In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. and Alaska Civil Rights Day, we chatted about the importance of honoring Black History in Alaska with Ian Hartman, associate professor in 香港六合彩资料's Department of History.
