Bristol Bay Borough School District superintendent Bill Hill was named 2023 Alaska Superintendent of the Year during a banquet hosted by the Alaska Superintendents Association on Sep. 29. Hill will now be in the running for the School Superintendents Association’s National Superintendent of the Year award.

Thirty-six Alaska artists have been named recipients of the 2022 Individual Artist Awards. An annual initiative managed by the Rasmuson Foundation, this year’s awardees include six Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ alumni and two faculty — three receiving $18,000 fellowships and five winning $7,500 project awards.
