On Saturday, March 5, Alaska WWAMI medical students connected with faculty and alumni over cocoa, great conversation and winter festivities in celebration of 50 years of partnership between the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ and the University of Washington School of Medicine. Alaska WWAMI grows the next generation of physicians and expands Alaskans’ access to a high-quality medical education.
Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Legal Studies met with Willamette Law Dean Brian Gallini to learn more about the law school application process and the direct admission program.
This March, students from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ’s pharmacy and nurse practitioner programs will travel to Pilot Station and Akiak to administer free health screenings to Head Start students and the wider community. This trip is the first of two planned to rural Alaska communities each year, one in spring and another in fall, referred to as Project Partnership for Alaska’s Kids (PAK).
Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ School of Social Work's Dr. Jessica Ullrich will be a presenter on March 29 for Brazelton Touchpoints Center's virtual National Forum, which will take place March 29-31.
